The food forest was planted in the spring/summer of 2021. I am eagerly anticipating summer 2023 as year three tends to be a good one for perennials. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that here in zone 3a we can grow apples, plums, pears, sour cherries, grapes, hardy kiwi, blueberries, haskaps, cranberries, currants, serviceberries, jostaberry, hazelnuts plus a wide variety of herbs and veggies, to name just a few 😉
